Instructions for Members- Engaging with Forums

How to get to Forums:

  1. From your “Member Portal,” select “Forums.”

2. Now, you will see the Categories of the Forums and each Forum below their respective categories.


How to Start Networking with the AMWA community:

  1. Click on the forum that you are interested in viewing



2. Click on the “New Topic” button at the bottom left corner, to post a new forum discussion.


3. Write the subject of your post in the “Subject” box and then write your body text below.


4. Select “Yes” for the “Subscribe” category at the bottom of the page. This will allow you to receive notifications when someone responds to your post.

5. Press “Choose File” to include any attachments in your post. Then, add any additional comments related to the attachment to the “Comments” box.


6. Press the “Upload” button on the right, to include the attachment in the post.

7. Once done reviewing your post, you can choose to preview by selecting the “Preview” button. You will see a preview of your post at the bottom of the page.


8. Once you have reviewed and previewed, select the “Submit” button at the bottom.

9. Once you submit, you will be able to see your recent post under “Community Forum.”

10. You can see all of your post history under “My Posts.”

11. Now that you have subscribed, you will be notified when others see your post.

12. To change your notification settings to change how often you are updated about new posts in your communities, you can select the “Contact Preferences” button under the “My Profile” Tab.

13. Now, you will be able to see your Forum Subscriptions. To select what notifications you receive, in the “Notification” column, use the drop-down menu to select your preference.
